Ruapehu.<\/li>\n<li>Access is via the Tukino road, turnoff from the Desert Road 25km north of Waiouru. Being on the eastern side of Mt Ruapehu, Tukino enjoys relatively calm conditions, sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds, and warm sunshine right from the early part of the day.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_461\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-461\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-461 \" src=\"https:\/\/tukino.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/lounge-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tukino.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/lounge-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tukino.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/lounge.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-461\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A winter&#8217;s evening at the lodge<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We provide affordable and comfortable accommodation on the mountain for our members and guests.<\/p>\n<p>Casual visitors and non-members are welcome.
